Safety scanning, AI-powered inspection, and mobile data capture help manufacturers protect operators and improve process efficiency.
Bologna, November 5, 2026 – Datalogic, a global leader in automatic data capture and industrial automation, will present solutions for safer production, smarter quality control and more accurate intralogistics at SPS – Smart Production Solutions 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, on November 24–26. Visitors can see them live at Hall 7A, Booth 110, where Datalogic is joined by Datasensing, the Group company specializing in sensors, safety devices and machine vision products.
Leading the safety line-up is the SLS10, the world’s first safety laser scanner with a protection range of up to 10 meters. Ideal for long assembly lines, robotic cells and palletizing systems, it covers larger areas with fewer devices, simplifying installation and reducing hardware and maintenance requirements.
A walk-in demonstration at the interactive DS4 measurement portal will showcase the features of this measuring light curtain, particularly useful for measuring the height, width, and volume of pallets before they enter automated storage and retrieval systems, or for detecting and dimensioning items with varying shapes and orientations on conveyor lines.
The inspection demo brings together PEKAT VISION deep learning software, the MX-G vision processor and the Smart-VS vision sensor. Together they cover the full spectrum of needs: from advanced applications requiring high processing power, flexibility and sophisticated image analysis, to a compact, easy-to-use solution for presence/absence checks, positioning and basic quality verification.
The booth also features solutions for end-to-end traceability across the entire process. The Matrix family of stationary industrial scanners improves efficiency and accuracy in production and logistics, while a laser marking demo with the new AREX400 AF shows how complex components with multiple surfaces or height levels can be marked in a single cycle, ensuring consistent traceability throughout the product’s lifecycle.
For intralogistics tasks that rely on manual data collection, Datalogic will showcase the new rugged mobile computers Falcon™ X60/X65 and Skorpio™ X40/X45 alongside the PowerScan™ 9600 family of industrial handheld scanners. These solutions are designed for fast and reliable reading in demanding environments, letting operators scan items and locations at the point of activity, for more accurate inventory records and fewer transcription errors.
Visitors are invited to see the demonstrations, explore products on display, and meet Datalogic and Datasensing specialists at Hall 7A, Booth 110 to discuss how these solutions could address challenges in their own operations.
